This role will be responsible for overseeing inventory and administrative tasks at the site level.
The main focus will be on providing visibility into capacity constraints and ensuring smooth material planning and workflow processes.
CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS Accountability for Inventory Storage, Handling, and Processing.
Consistently upload updated inventory counts on a daily basis.
Also, strategically allocate inventory to minimize unnecessary processing waste.
Conduct regular inventory cycle counts.
Collaborate with shipping team to provide accurate shipment data, including cost and placement location.
Utilize problem-solving skills to optimize capacity and implement 5S principles in shipping and receiving areas.
Maximize storage tower capacity to make the most of available floor and rack space.
Handle order cancellations and modifications.
Consolidate tags as required.
Determine advanced placement of materials and packaging for work centers.
Effectively manage scrap materials.
Oversee Lift tags.
Support in Planning Activities Undergo cross-training in material planning to serve as a backup resource.
Manage administrative tasks within the planning department.
Act as a liaison between the planning and operations teams.
Assist with remote stock and customer contract shipments in Los Angeles.
Operational Assistance Compile data for Gemba boards and take responsibility for inventory action items related to the Gemba process.
Have a comprehensive understanding of the material flow lifecycle, from order generation to production and shipping of finished goods.
Provide general support for Stratix.
Product Development:
Lead efforts in collaboration with customers and key suppliers to contribute to the development of new products.
This is aimed at expanding UPM's range of products for related markets or a customer/OEM supply chain.
Reporting and Communication:
Regularly report on current activities and projects in progress.
Submit timely sales and product call reports.
Participate in weekly sales call-in meetings.
Assist in preparing presentations for sales, management, customers, and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite Strong mathematical and analytical abilities Excellent communication skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of an Associate College Degree AND a background of 3
years in Inventory Management or Planning
