Work Place Associates is a community-based program which helps working age youth and adults with mental health or cognitive disabilities regain or improve the quality of their lives through meaningful employment supports.
Examples of typical services provided include career counseling, vocational case management, benefits education, job development, and job coaching.
Our WPA program is seeking an Employment Specialist to provide assessment, job development, and job coaching services for the people we serve in Southwest Ohio.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction in a community based setting Act as a liaison between WorkPlace Associates Staff, the WorkPlace Associates Program Manager, funding sources, and employer contacts.
Complete and document ongoing job search and coaching documentation.
Communicate effectively with consumers, employers, co-workers, family members, funding sources, and agency personnel.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with consumers and other stakeholders Attend in-services, seminars and other training activities as scheduled Complete/submit all required paperwork.
Maintain case records according to professional standards Via Microsoft Teams, conduct live, virtual small group instruction on vocational topics using the provided curriculum.
Maintain case records in compliance with professional standards.
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma, Associate's degree preferred Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills Social Service sales, or teaching experience preferred, but not required Experience utilizing case record system Valid driver's license with a clean driving record The WPA Employment Specialist is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position, with salary based on experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
