Mechanical Engineer

Position is responsible for the layout, design and system of mechanical systems per customer specifications.
o Create 2D/3D Design Concepts.
o Confirm System capability and feasibility by analyzing customer requirements and project specifications.
o Create assembly drawings for customer's approval. Create bill of materials for projects. Fill out purchase requisition forms and submit to purchasing Department.
o Create 2D fabrication drawings for manufacturing parts.
o Prepare project manuals upon completion of the project, including, spare parts, and wear parts.
o Complete tasks within the deadline that is assigned from the supervisor.
o Continuous improvement on cost reduction for mechanical designs.
o Conduct Risk Assessments to ensure the systems are safe (if necessary). Apply principles of mechanics to conduct wrist inertia & momentum study, robot reach, EOAT gripping force.
o Assist the shipping/receiving Department with all information needed for shipping.
o Meet with customers to confirm product is meeting their expectations.
o Prepare Project Schedule, and follow up with technicians to check on building status. Communicate with customers and give them project updates.
o Other duties as necessary to ensure organizational success and customer satisfaction.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Design
o Prefer 3+ years engineering experience
o Demonstrate experience in the following software programs:
? AutoCAD
? Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks and /or other 3D Design Software
? Microsoft Office
o Attributes/skills:
? Mechanical aptitude
? Knowledge of and experience working in a manufacturing environment with technical knowledge of operations and manufacturing flow.
? Up-to-date professional and technical knowledge
? Able to conceptualize and communicate technical information, verbally and in writing.
? Able to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires work in an office setting but does involve minimal travel to customer sites resulting in approximately 5% travel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
