While this position is posted in Cincinnati, it can be filled anywhere within the USOverviewAnalyze and direct the flow of merchandise from the manufacture through distribution center/stores to our customers.
Lead the delivery solution and support ordering functions for integrated order and delivery solutions.
Responsibilities include:
Working with suppliers to expedite and verify delivery schedules for purchase orders.
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials from vendors to internal business units according to production schedule requirements.
Monitors shipping schedules and deliveries of purchases.
Communicating delivery information to sales and purchasing departments
Report supplier relationships and performance matrix, measuring on time delivery, quality, pricing, and lead time reduction ensuring supplier is engaged in performance improvement and maintenance plan.
Compiles various weekly/monthly reports on delivery performance and associated costs
Develops daily routing for inbound and outbound merchandise traffic.
Manages the flow of freight from carrier and customers utilizing routing schedules.
Coordinates smooth and cost-effective flow of merchandise by communicating daily volumes, special pick-ups and deliveries to all parties.
Provides daily investigation and resolution for misdirected shipments, late deliveries, and customer complaints.
Maintain ERP system dates of purchase orders and proactively address missed deliveries.
Skills & Attributes:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Good organizational skills, with a focus on efficiency and meeting deadlines.
